Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ezS3 ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Gone Coding Ltd.

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy , which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Description of Service

ezS3 is a web-based platform that provides role-based access management for S3-compatible object storage. Our service allows teams to manage file access, permissions, and audit logs without complex IAM configurations.

2.1 Service Features

The Service includes, but is not limited to: user management, role-based access controls, audit logging, and integration with S3-compatible storage providers. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any features at any time.

2.2 Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party storage providers. Your use of those providers is subject to their own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining and updating this information to keep it accurate.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. You may not share your account credentials with others.

3.3 Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. User Responsibilities and Conduct

4.1 Compliance with Laws

You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your use of the Service, including but not limited to data protection, privacy, and export control laws.

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

  • Interfering with or disrupting the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service

  • Reverse engineering or attempting to extract source code
  • Using automated tools to access the Service without permission

  • Harassing, abusing, or harming other users or our staff

5. Data and Credentials

5.1 Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data stored in your S3-compatible storage. ezS3 acts as an interface to your storage and does not claim ownership of your data. You are responsible for backing up your data and maintaining appropriate backup procedures.

5.2 Credential Security

You are solely responsible for securing your S3 credentials, access keys, and other authentication information. You should never share these credentials with others. We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to secure your credentials.

5.3 Data Storage and Processing

The Service may store and process data necessary for its operation, including user accounts, access logs, and configuration data. By using the Service, you consent to this processing in accordance with our Privacy Policy .

6. Service Availability and Support

6.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or other reasons. We are not liable for any interruption or delay in the Service.

6.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

6.3 Support

We may provide customer support through email, documentation, or other channels. We do not guarantee response times or the resolution of all issues. Support services are provided on a reasonable-effort basis.

7. Payment and Billing (if applicable)

7.1 Fees

Certain features of the Service may require payment of fees. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change our fees at any time with notice to existing subscribers.

7.2 Payment Authorization

By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the specified amount for the selected service. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment information.

7.3 Third-Party Storage Costs

You are responsible for all costs associated with your third-party S3-compatible storage, including storage fees, bandwidth charges, and any other costs billed directly by the storage provider.

8. Termination

8.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by following the account closure process or contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

8.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Violation of applicable laws or regulations
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Conduct that is harmful to other users, us, or third parties
  • Extended period of account inactivity

8.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will continue, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability. We may delete your account data after termination.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, interface, code, and other content, is owned by Gone Coding Ltd and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

9.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, modify, display, and distribute it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

9.3 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service become our property and may be used without obligation to you.

10. Disclaimers and Warranties

10.1 No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10.2 No Guarantee of Security

While we implement reasonable security measures, we cannot guarantee that the Service will be completely secure or free from unauthorized access. You acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk.

10.3 Third-Party Content

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or content. We do not endorse or control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EZS3 SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
  • DAMAGES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA OR ACCOUNT
  • BUGS, VIRUSES, TROJAN HORSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL CODE THAT MAY BE TRANSMITTED THROUGH THE SERVICE
  • ERRORS OR MISTAKES IN THE SERVICE, OR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE INCURRED AS A RESULT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANYTHING TO US, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Gone Coding Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13.2 Arbitration

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You and Gone Coding Ltd waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

13.3 Venue

Any arbitration shall be conducted in Hong Kong, and the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

14. General Provisions

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Gone Coding Ltd regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.

14.2 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

14.3 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may freely assign these Terms.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. We will notify users of material changes by:

  • Posting the new Terms on this page
  • Updating the "Last updated" date
  • Sending you a notification via email or in-app notification (if you have an account)

Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must discontinue your use of the Service.
